Offers continue as Ciulla narrows focus

Kennesaw (Ga.) offensive lineman. Jeremy Ciulla is quickly establishing himself as one of the Peach State’s most sought-after prospects for 2004.
Scholarship offers have rolled in on what seems to be a non-stop basis for the 6-foot-6, 275-pound tackle.

“Georgia offered me at the end of last week and I just got off the phone with Ole Miss a few minutes ago. They offered me tonight,” Ciulla said.
In addition to the Bulldogs and Rebels, he has scholarship offers from Auburn, LSU, Clemson, North Carolina, Duke, Virginia, South Carolina, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Stanford and Tennessee.
“I think that’s all of them,” he said with a laugh. “There’s been so many.”
Are there any favorites emerging from that group of heavy hitters?
“I do like Georgia. I do like Notre Dame. Coach Willingham is really nice. I’m looking forward to talking with him again,” he said. “I like Auburn. And I’m pretty sure I want to check out Tennessee and LSU.”
Ciulla said his decision will come down to a 50/50 split between two main factors.
“I want to go to a program that plays well, and most everyone on my list are really good teams,” he said. “And I also want to get a good education. That’s going to be an equally big factor. I like Notre Dame in that regard. I’ll be visiting them on June 7 to check things out and see if I like it.
“I’m definitely going to visit Georgia, Auburn and Tennessee as well. I’ll try to get to as many places as possible and make a decision sometime by the end of July.”
