Offers coming in fast for Luke

Cole Luke had heard that the new staffs at Arizona and Arizona State were going to recruit the in-state players hard next recruiting cycle and it's already paying off for the 2013 cornerback from Chandler (Ariz.) Hamilton.
The 6-foot, 165-pound prospect has landed offers from the Wildcats and Sun Devils over the past few days and Purdue has offered as well.

It's exciting for Luke, who finished with 63 tackles and six interceptions in his junior season, but he's also going to take his time because he hasn't done much research on either of the in-state programs yet.
"I had heard they were trying to recruit all the 2013 in-state juniors pretty hard this year and then I got a call from (Chandler Hamilton) coach (Steve) Belles and he just got off the phone with (Arizona) and they said I have an offer," Luke said.
"I know a little bit about them. I know it's a pretty good school and they definitely have my attention just like any other school would. It's important to get to know that staff. I don't know much about them but I know it's probably a pretty good staff."
Luke, who helped lead his team to a 13-1 record this season, will get a better feel for Arizona State this weekend because he and a bunch of other top 2013 prospects from the state will be taking an unofficial visit there.
He's definitely interested in learning more about that new staff as well.
"They said I have an offer and I fit into their system well," Luke said.
Although things have picked up in a dramatic way recently for Luke, the 2013 standout plans to take his time with recruiting.
He said Texas, Oregon and Colorado have been showing more interest and he wants to see which other programs get involved over time before making his decision. Luke said it's far too early to name any favorites.
"I'm going to wait it out," Luke said.
