Offers begin to roll in for huge OT

Massive 6-foot-7, 305-pound offensive tackle Pete deSouza has hauled in three offers to date. The Hyattsville (Md.) DeMatha prospect holds offers from both the ACC and Big East. Does he have any leaders?
"I've got offers from Maryland, Syracuse and Delaware," he said. "Actually I like all of the coaches at those schools, but I've only visited one of them. I am planning to go to the other two. I've been to Maryland and their coaches treated me very well."

Numerous other schools are in touch with deSouza.
"I've been getting interest from Pittsburgh, Florida, Georgia, Connecticut, Virginia and I'm about to send my tape to Virginia Tech."
While there is no true leader, the Maryland prospect did grow up a fan of one school.
"I kind of grew up an Oregon fan," he said. "My mom went to school there and I have a lot of family out there. If they showed a lot of interest, I'd be interested."
deSouza went on to discuss what he's looking for in a college.
"I just want a place where I enjoy myself if football doesn't happen," he said. "I want to be able to give it a go in the working world. I think I might want to study psychology or communications."
Last season deSouza helped DeMatha to a 10-2 record as they won the WCAC championship.
"I thought I really improved a lot last year from my sophomore to junior year," he said. "I've got to work on my strength still and I can always get quicker."
