Offers begin to pile up for big PA end

Hershey (Pa.) Milton Hershey School tight end Garry Gilliam is beginning to pile up the offers. The 6-foot-7, 245-pounder already holds offers from the ACC and Big East and has numerous other schools interested.
"Villanova, Connecticut, Virginia and Akron have offered me," he said. "Pittsburgh, Penn State and Rutgers all want me at their camps. West Virginia, Hofstra, and Delaware are interested too. I'm also getting interest from the Ivy League."
Gilliam is already making plans for this summer.
"This Saturday I'm going with my mom to Penn State," he said. "I also plan to visit Pittsburgh, Connecticut, Rutgers and Virginia."
Do any schools stick out to Gilliam?
"I like Penn State, Connecticut, Pittsburgh and Virginia," he said. "They are all good program that aren't too far from home. They all have good academics too.
"Basically I'm looking for a good football program and academic program. I want to major in business."
The all-conference prospect helped Milton Hershey School to a 7-4 record last season playing defensive end and tight end.
"I remember I had two interceptions, one touchdown on defense and one on offense," he said. "I think I did well. My work ethic and size are good. I still need to work on my speed."
