Offers begin for OG Sales

Fort Washington (Md.) Friendly offensive guard Quinton Sales acquired his first scholarship offer last week. Now the 6-foot-3, 280-pounder is up to three offers.
"I've got offers from Kent, Wake Forest and Connecticut," he said. "I got all of them last week. I haven't heard much from Kent, but I can't count their offer out.

"As for Wake, my mom is from North Carolina and loves their school. I love them too and am planning to go there for summer camp. I know they are a good school academically and that's what I'm looking for. I also love Connecticut. I went up there in April and their facilities are great."
Sales believes a few other schools are close to offering.
"Syracuse, Boston College and Illinois have talked about it," he said. "My coach is telling me they are very interested and that's all I know."
Are there any leaders for the Maryland prospect?
"My favorites are Connecticut, Wake Forest, Boston College and those kinds of schools," he said. "They are good academically. UConn I'd get a chance to play earlier. Wake is a great school in the ACC and Boston College has great tradition and academics."
Over the weekend, Sales went up to State College for the Nike Camp.
"I did very well there," he said. "I think I showed good mechanics and footwork. I also went to the Elite last week and I felt like I showed a great base against the bull rush. I think I did well at both camps and they were really competitive."
