Offers begin for DC tight end

Washington (D.C.) H.D. Woodson tight end Darius Redman pulled in his first two scholarships recently. The 6-foot-4, 236-pounder pulled the offers from the ACC and Big East.
"I got verbal offers from North Carolina and West Virginia," he said. "North Carolina came a week ago on Friday and West Virginia was back in February.

"I think they are both good offers. I've already visited West Virginia for their junior day. They have nice facilities and the weight room was good. I plan to go to North Carolina on April 3rd."
Other schools are keeping tabs on Redman as well.
"I have letters from East Carolina, Virginia Tech, Kansas, Georgia and LSU," he said. "However, my favorite team personally is Miami because they send a lot of tight ends to the NFL.
"I'm really looking for a team that uses their tight end a lot. I also have no problem blocking."
