Offers are on the rise for 2013 Kalambayi

Durham, N.C. - Offers are picking up for 6-foot-2, 230-pound linebacker Peter Kalambayi. The Matthews (N.C.) Butler rising junior prospect now holds four scholarships and claims a couple of the schools have impressed so far.
"I've got offers from NC State, Clemson, Duke and Michigan," he said. "I also have Notre Dame, Oklahoma and Georgia interested.

"I like the offers. I like Clemson a lot and Michigan too."
Kalambayi discussed those two further.
"Michigan is cause of the city and they are up there in the Big Ten, a lot of people go from there to the NFL," he said. "For Clemson, it's close to home and I like the tradition there and what they do with their linebackers. They're trying to get more good ones."
Still an underclassman, the linebacker is eyeing a few camps.
"I'm thinking about one days at Clemson, Georgia or North Carolina," he said. "I'm just looking for good academics and a great football team."
Meanwhile, Kalambayi hopes schools out West come into the picture too.
"I'd like to hear from some on the West Coast, California-Berkeley, Stanford and USC just for a change of scenery."
In the meantime, Kalambayi impressed in his latest outing at the Duke Nike Camp on Sunday.
"I liked it," he said. "I liked what I did in the one-on-ones especially pass rush. I didn't lose that and it was good. I had a better day covering the running backs, that's what I want to work at in the future."
