Offer No. 1 is in for NC junior

Offer No. 1 is in for a talented cornerback in the mid-Atlantic. The 6-foot-2, 187-pounder pulled his first offer from the Big Ten yesterday.
"Wisconsin just offered me, that's my first offer," Mount Ulla (N.C.) West Rowan cornerback Dominique Noble said. "I'm pretty stoked about it.

"I really didn't know anything about them, but as soon as I heard I went to find out more. It sounds like they're a good program."
The Badgers are just one of a few teams taking an early interest in Noble.
"Duke likes me a lot," he said. "Wake Forest is interested along with East Carolina and Georgia Tech.
"Duke invited me to two games this year. I loved it there. I love the atmosphere. It's pretty nice there."
With interest growing, what is Noble looking for in a college?
"I'm trying to go for more than just sports," he said. "My mentality is to get in with sports and finish out with academics. I know .1% of players go to the NFL. I've got a good GPA, 3.6.
"I just want a great atmosphere and I want to be able to win. I love to win and want to have fun doing it."
Noble wrapped up his second year as a starter earning all-county and all-conference honors while posting two interceptions.
What stands out about Noble as a prospect right now?
"I think it's the fact I'm a team player and willing to do anything to get the next inch. I will do anything to win and I think I have good speed and physicality."
