Offer No. 1 is in for CB Tabannah

Cornerback Devonta Tabannah pulled in his first offer late last week. The 5-foot-11, 170-pounder landed the scholarship from the MAC.
"I got an offer from Akron," he said. "I was so excited, I was speechless. I didn't know what to say, it was a blessing and I was glad, hopefully a lot more are coming."

What does Tabannah think of Akron?
"I'm definitely going to take a visit there in July," he said. "I do know they have a good coaching staff and aren't too far from home. They also put players in the league, have new facilities and a nice stadium. I was overwhelmed by the offer."
Akron won't be the only visit for Tabannah this summer.
"I'm going to do about five or six camps," he said. "I'm looking at Virginia Tech, Akron, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia and I'm thinking maybe Maryland. Most of them will be in June."
Does the Maryland prospect like anyone at this time?
"Akron has to be No. 1," he said. "They are my only offer from the five, but I love these other teams too. All of them have great coaching staffs."
