Offer No. 1 comes for Boland

Offer No. 1 has come in for North Bethesda (Md.) Georgetown Prep offensive tackle Michael Boland. The 6-foot-6, 295-pounder landed the offer from a surprise school.
"I didn't really have Tulane on the board," he said. "They said they looked at my film and liked it and offered.

"I don't know much about the school. I know it's in New Orleans and seems to be a good place, but I haven't really gotten a chance to look at it much."
What does it mean to get the first offer under his belt?
"Obviously I'm really excited about it, it's nice to know my hard work is paying off."
From here, Boland plans to start camping.
"I'm going down to Virginia Tech on June 4th and then I'm pretty sure Rutgers on June 11th," he said. "I'm going to Duke, NC State and probably North Carolina on the 18th, 19th and 20th maybe and Boston College at some point at the end of the month.
"Most schools want to see me at camp."
Boland claims no favorites, but discussed what he hopes to see on these upcoming trips.
"I just want to continue to go to a great school like Georgetown Prep is," he said. "I want a place to spend the next five years of my life."
