Offer list explodes for Poutasi

Cedrick Poutasi was one of the dominant prospects at the recent Elite Linemen Challenge in Las Vegas and at the time the 6-foot-5, 322-pound offensive guard only had an offer from Idaho.
That has changed significantly in the last two weeks. Since that time, Poutasi has become one of the hottest recruits on the West Coast.

Arizona and SMU offered last week and now UCLA and UNLV are also on the list for Poutasi, who plays at Las Vegas Desert Pines. More Pac-10 schools and even some SEC programs are now showing interest.
"I'm really happy," Poutasi said.
"The Badger Event was really competitive. There were a lot of top guys over there and I was happy the offers started coming in. They saw the highlights and the coaches said they loved it so I was happy with what I did over there.
"I don't really have a favorite. All the schools I have right now are great schools and I like all of their programs so that's good."
Poutasi, who said he's hearing from Oregon, Cal, Arkansas and Auburn, will have another national stage this weekend to show off his game since he will work out at the Los Angeles NIKE Camp at USC on Sunday.
Before the NIKE Camp, Poutasi plans to take an unofficial visit to UCLA. The Bruins got involved in the last couple days and the Las Vegas standout wants to check out what they can offer.
"They said they saw the highlights and I talked to coach (Rick) Neuheisel and when I talked to him he said he loves the way I play with a mean streak but I'm a humble person off the field," Poutasi said.
"I was very happy he said that and that they offered me a scholarship. I'm looking forward to seeing that campus."
