Offer list continues to grow for Singleton

Though the spring evaluation period is over for college coaches, things have yet to slow down for Plantation (Fla.) American Heritage linebacker Brent Singleton. At 6-foot-0 195 pounds, Singleton already held offers from the likes of Vanderbilt, Syracuse and South Carolina. Recently, Singleton added four more schools to his offer sheet.
"I got new offers from Indiana, Kent State, Northern Illinois and Miami-Ohio," Singleton said. "These came in about two weeks ago."

Along with his four new offers, Singleton also has been receiving a good bit of ACC interest.
"I'm going up to Boston College next Thursday," he said. "I've been getting a lot of interest from them and I have a lot of interest in them. Coach was like, 'I've seen you on film. We want to offer you but our coach wants to see you run around up here a little bit.'"
Some other programs showing interest to this point have been Wisconsin and Central Michigan along with several others. Despite his list of offers, Singleton hopes to receive more interest this summer and fall and he does not have any favorites.
"I didn't really visit any schools yet so I'm wide open right now," he said. "I'm really looking for some more interest from some SEC schools. I'm going to see Boston College and Florida. I plan on seeing a couple others over the summer and then the rest in the fall."
On Tuesday, Singleton will be at Florida's one-day camp. However, most of his focus remains on his team and the approaching fall season.
"I'm just working out with my schools trying to get better and trying to get my team better," he said. "Last year, we went 10-0 and made it to the second round of the playoffs. This year we want to win state."
