Offer from "big-time school" LSU impresses 2019 FL DE Braylen Ingraham

The Latest: It’s been quite a while since Class of 2019 Florida defensive end Braylen Ingraham picked up an offer from LSU, but even so his excitement over having a chance to play for the Tigers hasn’t dimmed. Rivals.com recently caught up with Ingraham at the recent Miami stop of the Rivals 3-Stripe Camp presented by adidas to talk LSU and his plans to get to Baton Rouge for a visit.

In His Words: “I was really excited to get an offer from LSU. That’s a big time school and not a place that I thought would ever offer me. I was just surprised. I haven’t been out for a visit yet but I really want to see it. They’re a big-time school and they play really aggressive. I like their defense and how they always have guys coming out of there and going to the NFL because that’s every player’s goal. They think I would be a good fit in what they do. I’ve had a chance to talk to Coach Orgeron and he’s a cool guy.

On visits: “I’m going to go there this summer visit and go to camp so I can see the coaches in action and get a chance to work with them. I’m also going to visit Florida State and Kentucky this summer, too.”

Rivals Reaction: Ingraham’s offer list continues to grow but LSU is one of the schools that jumped into the mix in the early going. The fact that Ed Orgeron was already recruiting Ingraham prior to becoming head coach is also a good sign. The next move will be getting him to Baton Rouge. If he does make the trip on his own dime it will be interesting to see what it might do to shake up his recruitment.
