Statistics: He graded out at 81% over their 10 game schedule.
Honors: Peveto was named second team all-district in District 6-5a in Texas.
Strong Points: "I'm aggressive, smart, intense and focused."
Favorite Schools: He has heard from Texas A&M, Nebraska, Army, Ole Miss and SMU.
He has no offers yet.
When asked who is recruiting him the hardest he said, "Probably Texas A&M and SMU. They send me the most stuff. I was at SMU's junior day yesterday (April 13). It was impressive. I liked the school a lot. I'd get a good education there."
When asked for a list of his current favorites, he named the following schools (listed in order of mention):
1. Nebraska - "They consistently produce great offensive linemen. They're always a winner. I've followed them on TV. We're mainly a passing offense at our school, but we do run it enough. I know that they mostly run the ball, but I think I could play that style too. I received about 8-10 letters from them last year keeping me updated on their games and also some letters about their camps, but I haven't received any handwritten letters from them yet."
2. Texas A&M - "My father, Cal Peveto, was an all-conference linebacker there in 1978. He liked it a lot. They have great facilities. They're building that big new athletic center there. They have great atmosphere. I'm from the south originally, so I'd feel comfortable there in the country. Their will to win impresses."
3. LSU - "I'm impressed with how they've been climbing up the ranks lately. I've always liked them. My barber is a representative of their school and he always talks to me about them. I still don't know too much about them yet so I want to check things out further."
4. Texas - "My teammate, Robert Timmons, signed with them this year and I have the best relationship with him of anybody on our team. It would be great to play with him in college."
5. Georgia - "I've always liked them too. I like their style of play and they're always competitive in their conference."
Skinny: When asked about his camp plans for the summer Peveto said, "I was originally going to go to camps at Texas, Texas A&M, SMU, Nebraska, Oklahoma and LSU but my high school head coach and offensive line coach talked to me and they don't want me to go to camps where there'll be contact. They don't want me to chance getting injured and they said it wouldn't increase my marketability that much anyway. So that eliminated the Nebraska, Oklahoma and LSU camps. I'll just attend the UT, A&M and SMU camps now. I still want to check out the others so I'll probably visit Oklahoma and LSU unofficially over the summer with my parents because they're close by. I don't know if I'll be able to make it up to see Nebraska because it's further away."
Asked about his parents' preference for his college choice he said, "They want what's best for me, but it will ultimately be my decision. My father is a manager for UPS and he may transfer to wherever I choose to go to school so that my patents can see me play."
He benches 275 pounds and squats 475 pounds.
He has a 3.2 GPA and is scheduled to take the SAT in June.
When asked about his priorities on for his college choice Peveto responded, "I want to have as broad of a choice as possible. Most important are the academics and the opportunities I have after I get my degree. I want to go to a school that provides a good education. How I feel that I will fit in the college will matter. It's also important how interested they are in me as student as well as an athlete."
When discussing the possibility of an early commitment he said, "It depends on who contacts me and when they offer me a scholarship."
He plans to get a major in a business field.
He also throws the shot put in track.
His favorite teams to watch on TV are, "Nebraska. I also usually watch the Big 12 and SEC conference games and whichever big game of the week is on."
