Offense or defense for Morgan

Price Morgan is an interesting recruit from Lawrence (Kans.). The 6-foot-4 and 205-pound Morgan is a leader on a team that sees themselves doing big things including bringing back championships to their high school.
"The season is going pretty good," Morgan said. "We beat our cross-town rivals. We have talked since our freshman year about being the class that brings back titles to Lawrence."

Morgan is playing both sides of the football for Lawrence. He is also playing a key role on special teams. He says that he's having a solid year, but that he's also progressing and improving with each week.
"I am playing on both sides. I play the MIKE linebacker spot and at tight end. I am also the long snapper. Statistically I am doing good and it's getting better."
There are a lot of different opinions of Morgan when it comes to the collegiate game. Morgan says that he's being recruited for both offense and defense and at multiple spots on defense. He says that he would likely have a preference to play defense based on his history playing offense.
"I am being recruited to play different spots by different schools," Morgan said. "Wyoming likes me as a defensive end. Missouri Valley likes me as a linebacker. Some like me as a tight end too. It really all depends on how much weight I put on.
"I don't have a personal preference where I play. This is my first time playing middle linebacker. I played defensive end all the way through high school to this year. I would say that I preferred playing defense mostly because our team doesn't throw the football a lot."
There is a clear effort by Morgan to not get too caught up in the recruiting scene. He says that there will be some opportunities to take a trip or two in coming weeks when his schedule allows. He has been talking to some schools about visiting. He says that he's also waiting to see if new teams enter the picture.
"I am actually trying to limit the distractions," Morgan said. "We have some Thursday night games so I will likely take some time on those weekends. I am talking to Kansas and some other schools about setting up a trip. We are waiting to see how things progress."
The two in-state schools are keeping an eye on Morgan it appears. He says that both seem to be taking the same approach with him by wanting to see how he's improved from last year to this year.
"Both Kansas and Kansas State are watching me to see how I progress from my junior season," Morgan said. "They really want to see if I am gotten stronger and faster since last season."
There is a double-digit offer total on the table for Morgan already including an offer from Wyoming.
