Offense: Four-stars outside new Rivals250

With senior seasons in the books and after a fall that saw the Rivals.com national analyst team hit the road on a weekly basis to evaluate talent, the new Rivals100 and Rivals250 rankings are set. But that doesn't mean some other players weren't rewarded with a bump up in the rankings for their showings. Here's a look at some offensive players who earned their fourth star, but fell just short of making the Rivals250.

Van Lanen destroyed the competition in the Green Bay area this fall, mauling defensive linemen and showing no mercy on opponents. The 6-foot-5, 280-pound lineman is light on his feet and can kick out to handle the edge rush, but he lives for run-blocking and driving defenders into the turf, aspects that should endear him to the coaching staff at Wisconsin early in his career. Van Lanen is committed to the Badgers. - Helmholdt
WR
Chris Taylor-Yamanoha
Rohnert Park (Calif.) Rancho Cotate
The Louisville commit was really impressive during the 7on7 season and he was considered for four-star status then, but we wanted to see how dominant he could be during his senior year before giving him that bump. He answered every question possible, finishing with more than 80 catches for nearly 1,500 yards and 23 touchdowns. Taylor-Yamanoha has great hands and excellent size, and could be huge in Louisville's offense for years to come. - Adam Gorney
OT
Austin Anderson
Mineola, Texas
Anderson brings grit to the trenches. He is strong in his lower body and light on his feet. In addition to his feet, he has some quick hands and once he locks on to an opponent he is ready to finish with a pancake. Anderson is committed to Texas A&M. - Jason Howell
RB
Abdul Adams
Washington (D.C.) Woodrow Wilson
Adams has been extremely productive against good competition and his game will translate well to the Oklahoma offense. He runs like a bigger back but has the speed to score from anywhere on the field. Adams is also a good receiver out of the backfield and should be effective in the screen game in college. - Adam Friedman
QB
Woody Barrett
Orlando (Fla.) West Orange
Barrett has always had the size and the arm strength. His struggle has been with reads and drops. As a senior, he's certainly progressed on both fronts and was able to lead his team to a deep run in the state playoffs. Barrett has a strong arm, and his massive size makes the Auburn commit a handful to bring down in the backfield. Barrett is streaky in way as he can go through stretches of great accuracy but also be off target for an entire quarter or half. The trajectory of his development is positive, however, which is a good sign. - Rob Cassidy
RB
Lamical Perine
Theodore, Ala.
Perine has an incredibly thick build and runs with impressive power for a shorter back. The Florida commit had an impressive senior season that saw him develop more power and showcase more elusiveness. Perine is a nice mixture of quickness and muscle that is rarely matched in the high school ranks. - Cassidy
WR
Josh Hammond
Hallandale, Fla.
Hammond was the leader of a Hallandale offense that powers the program to a deep playoff run. While he doesn't have overwhelming size, the Florida commit is explosive and runs crisp routes. He spent his senior season proving himself as a deep threat and putting to rest concerns about his straight-line speed. - Cassidy
TE
Landon Rice
Calhoun, Ga.
The Auburn commit had an excellent senior season and showed improved speed to go along with his excellent size. The 6-foot-6, 250-pound prospect starred at both defensive end and tight end for his team and should be an excellent fit in the Tigers' offense. - Woody Wommack
