October key month for Boyd

According to safety Jalen Boyd of Louisville (Ky.) Western, opposing teams aren't throwing the ball his way very often right now.
Still, in four games he has recorded two interceptions.

And, he added, "I have a lot of knockdowns."
On the recruiting front, Boyd is taking things slow. A planned unofficial to Illinois last weekend fell through and he admittedly isn't sure if he'll check out a college game in person this month.
In October, though, things should get interesting for the 6-feet-1, 190-pounder.
"I've got a lot going on right now family wise," Boyd said. "But I know one visit in October, which is UCLA. Another one is Marshall. Those are officials."
Illinois is another program that will get an official, according to Boyd.
"I don't know the other two yet," Boyd said. "I'm hearing some from Kentucky. They've started recruiting me again."
Louisville might be another program to watch.
"I think they're close to offering," Boyd said. "I talk to [Cardinals defensive coordinator Vance] Bedford. I call him a lot. I think I still have a little bit more to prove to them. They're recruiting hard down in Florida now."
Additionally, Boyd said he is hearing from Hawaii and Indiana.
