OC Spada gaining interest
Oradell (N.J.) Bergen Catholic offensive center Steve Spada continues to receive his share of college interest. The 6-foot-3, 255-pounder is acquiring mail from the ACC, Big Ten among others.
"I'm getting interest from Maine, New Hampshire, Boston College, Maryland, Notre Dame, Michigan, Rutgers, Army, Connecticut and all over right now," he said. "I never really watched college football. I only watched my brother play in the Patriot League."

With no clear favorites, what is Spada looking for in a college?
"I'm just looking for somewhere I can play, I have to be on the field," he stated. "With a bigger school, I'll have to see what they are offering. If there's no chance of playing I'm not sure.
"I would like to be more in the north. I'm not as much a fan of the south and heat. As for my degree, I want to go into pre-law or business management."
Later this spring, Spada plans to attend the Nike Combine in New York.
Last season he earned second team all-league honors as a junior.
