OC Porter up to four offers

Offers have picked up for Charlotte (N.C.) West Charlotte offensive center Blake Porter. The 6-foot-3, 288-pounder claims four offers to date and many other schools interested.
"I've gotten offers from Hampton, UNC-Charlotte, Air Force and South Carolina State," he said. "I think bigger schools are going to offer me in the near future.

"Right now though, I'm kind of leaning towards Hampton. I've been up there quite a few times for unofficial visits and I plan to take an official sometime after my senior season. I just like the atmosphere at Hampton not only for football, but the school and they have a good football program."
Interest is coming in for Porter from the likes of Stanford, Georgia, Georgia Tech, NC State, North Carolina, Wake Forest and South Carolina.
"Pretty much they all want me to come to their camp," he said. "I'm making plans, but I'm not sure exactly which ones I'm going to. I know Wake for sure, the others I don't know."
Many more visits will be coming soon, so what does Porter want in a college?
"It has to be a good school academically, that's No. 1," he said. "Of course, they have to have a good football program and a good combination of academics and athletics. I want to study business or law. I'd like to be a lawyer when I grow up cause my dad is a lawyer here in Charlotte."
Porter noted one school sticks out if they move in significantly more.
"I'm a real big fan of South Carolina, that's probably my favorite team to watch," he said. "It's the atmosphere when I've went up to their games. I watched them play against Florida and Alabama and it was crazy, it's a football town up there."
As a junior, Porter earned all-conference honors.
"I block until the whistle blows," he said. "I've got a lot of power and explosiveness coming off the ball. I'm always knocking my opponent off the ball and had a lot of pancakes last year, about five or six a game."
