OC Geiser makes a decision

Offensive center Jake Geiser came to a decision earlier this week. Where is the Hyattsville (Md.) DeMatha prospect headed?
"I just committed to Delaware yesterday," he said. "Fordham was my other offer.

"It was the school. When I went up and visited I really liked it. It's got a good history of getting DeMatha kids, in fact the center there was a DeMatha grad. I felt like it's a good fit and I like the school and academics. I feel like it's somewhere I will be able to get a good degree, while I have fun playing football.
"I also like the coaches and direction they are heading with the program. It's a serious passion and they are there to win, that's something I was looking for."
Has Delaware talked about playing time?
"From talking to the offensive line coach, they didn't sign a natural center last year so I think I'm in line to replace their center when he graduates," he said. "I also like that it's a good fit offensively they run similar stuff to what we do, so it won't be a huge jump for me."
Geiser wraps up his season on Saturday in the WCAC championship.
"We play Good Counsel and it should be a good game," he said. "Last time we played them we had a slow start and a lot of mental mistakes and penalties that we shouldn't have had. I know coming in Saturday this week if we keep all the stupid mistakes out of this game we can play well."
