Obasih commits to Wisconsin

The recruitment of four-star Brookfield (Wisc.) Central defensive end Chikwe Obasih has been pretty intense the last couple months, but on Sunday night the 6-foot-3, 240-pound prospect decided it was time to make his commitment.
"I'm committed to Wisconsin," Obasih told Rivals.com Sunday night. "I love it there, [it's a] great family to now be a part of and I can't wait to get started."

Obasih is the third prospect to commit to the Badgers this weekend, joining Columbus (Ohio) Walnut Ridge wide receiver Rob Wheelwright and Hartfield (Wisc.) Arrowhead 2014 offensive lineman George Panos.
In Obasih, Wisconsin has landed the highest ranked prospect in the state for the 2013 class. The strongside defensive end is also coming off an MVP performance at the Rivals.com/VTO Elite 100 Showcase in Cincinnati two weekends ago and is ready to help bolster the Badger's defense.
Prior to making his commitment to Wisconsin, Obasih had accumulated offers from the likes of Illinois, Iowa, Iowa State, Ole Miss, New Mexico, Purdue, Vanderbilt, Yale and Western Michigan.
