Oaks Christian sleeper lands offers

There is no question that one of the best program's going in Ventura County is Westlake Village (Calif.) Oaks Christian. There is going to be at least six players on this team that will make it to the D-I level. One of them is defensive end/slot back Alani Fua (6-5, 210, 4.56).
Fua has football bloodlines as is dad played in the arena league and his brother Sione Fua started as a freshman for Stanford before going on his LDS Mission and came back and stared for the Cardinal again last season.

Fua is an outstanding athlete who is just coming into his own as a football player and has a huge upside. Oaks Christian head coach Bill Redell thinks he has a sleeping giant of a recruit on his hands.
"Somebody is going to get a steal in Alani," Redell said. "He's extremely athletic. We're going to run him at slot receiver, tight end and defensive end."
"The only thing that Alani needs to add is some beef," Redell said. "That shouldn't be too difficult his dad tips the scales over 400 pounds and his brother is weighing 300."
As a junior, Fua earned second-team all-league honors after racking up 67 tackles, 46 of which were solo, three sacks and two fumble recoveries.
Though Fua is flying a little bit under the radar, he does have two offers on the table from BYU and Oregon State. He is getting recruiting attention from Arizona, UCLA, USC, Cal, and Stanford.
Definitely a player who is on the rise.
