Oaks Christian DL sees stock soar

Everyone by now is aware that Westlake (Calif.) Oaks Christian has several D-I prospects. While quarterback Jimmy Clausen and running back Marc Tyler have scorched recrutineks with the heat of their recruitment, there is another Lion who has caught fire and now has nine offers on the table from schools from coast-to-coast.
The player in question is defensive end/offensive lineman Michael Ebbitt (6-5, 245, 4.7).

Ebbitt now has nine offers on the table. His first came last January when Tennessee offered Ebbitt on their junior day. Since then the offers have been pouring in.
Besides, Tennessee; Ebbitt has offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Oregon, Oregon State, Washington, Washington State, Utah and Virginia.
"I'm very happy with the way my recruitment is going," Ebbitt said. "I'm going to keep my options open for the present time."
"Things could change depending on what other schools end up offering," Ebbitt said. "I will probably end up visiting Arizona, Oregon and Tennessee."
Why these three schools?
"Arizona is a place that has offered two of my good friends and high school teammates, Duke Lemmens and Marshall Jones," Ebbitt said. "That we have all been offered by the Wildcats is pretty good."
"We could all go to the same place," Ebbitt said. "Or all go our separate ways."
"Oregon has done a great job recruiting me," Ebbitt said. "They have written me a ton of letters so far."
"I also really like Oregon's defensive line coach, Michael Gray," Ebbitt said. "Plus Oregon has great facilities."
"Tennessee was the first school to offer me so they will always be among my favorites," Ebbitt said. "I really love how the people love football down south. All of my family is from the south."
Ebbitt would like to hear more from Virginia Tech, Texas and USC.
In nine games as a junior, Ebbitt racked up 36 tackles, four sacks and one fumble recovery. His performance saw him be selected all-CIF as a junior.
Ebbitt gets the job done in the weight room and currently benches 330-pounds and squats 425.
