School: Oakland (Calif.) McClymonds.

Position: Offensive Tackle/Defensive Tackle
Size and Speed: Williams stands 6-foot-4, weighs 290 pounds and runs the 40 in 5-flat. His bench is 335 and his squat is 415.
Honors: Williams was selected first-team all-league offensive left tackle as a junior.
Statistics: In part-time duty as a defensive tackle Williams accounted for ten tackles for loss and four sacks.
Favorite Colleges: Michigan, Cal, Arizona State, Washington State, Colorado, Fresno State and UNLV all came by McClymonds high school this spring and have showed a lot of interest in Williams.
Skinny: Williams is a raw player who still hasn’t reached his full potential. He has been a starter since his sophomore year and though Williams has been a stellar offensive left tackle throughout his high school career, many of the colleges recruiting him like him as a defensive tackle. If Williams does stay on the offensive side of the ball on the next level he will probably end up as a guard.
“All the colleges that have come by this spring have commented on Darrell’s quickness,” McClymond’s head coach Alonzo Carter said. “Darrell has rare quickness for his size.”
“I think Darrell is one of the two best linemen in Northern California,” Carter said. “He still has some things to learn, so there is something to work with when he gets to a college.”
Williams has all the intangibles that many D-I schools like. He has the size and quickness that colleges love plus he has room to grow as a football player.
