Added to the West roster at quarterback to replace Nate Sudfeld is Blue Ridge (S.C.) quarterback Caleb Rowe. Rowe, a 6-3, 195-pound Maryland commitment, threw for 120 yards on 16-of-26 passing in the 2011 Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas last week. Rivals.com rates him as a three-star prospect.
"Rowe has a solid arm and showed he can make a lot of throws in the Shrine Bowl," said Offense-Defense Director of Player Personnel Josh Buchanan, "We are happy to add him to our roster and feel he will pick up the playbook well because of his intelligence."
Also added to the West roster is Stanford commitment Ikenna Nwafor from Cisterian Prep (Texas). The 6-5. 298-pounder will replace injured Korren Kirven. Rivals.com rates Nwafor as a three-star prospect.
