NYs Shue can kick, pass and catch

2007 prospect Colan Shue out of Philadelphia (N.Y.) Indian River is a three-sport athlete that is already starting to receive interest from colleges. Who has the 6-foot-1, 185-pounder been receiving mail from?
"He's getting quite a lot of mail from schools including Syracuse, Duke, Penn State and Rutgers," said Indian River head coach Jay Brown. "I don't know who he is looking at, but if anyone shows a lot of interest I'm sure he'll go for it."

Where does Brown see his star playing at the next level?
"He could fit in as a defensive back, wide receiver or with a little bit of work he could even kick for someone too," he said. "He's got unbelievable athletic ability and has awesome feet and escape ability. He's a hard worker, devoted in the weight room and an all-around player for us. He is our kicker, backup quarterback, return man and safety. You can put him anywhere on the field and he'll get things done."
In eight games this season, Shue has rushed for 110 yards and two touchdowns, he's caught 287 yards and two touchdowns and has scored 62 points total.
"He's a lot better this year as he's playing with more confidence," Brown said. "He's also a defensive leader with 76 tackles and an interception. We're going to expect a lot more out of him as a senior."
Another player showing impressive skills for Indian River is 6-foot-0, 195-pound running back Allan Ricks.
"He's a big, strong kid and a very powerful runner," he said. "He compliments our speedsters very well and is tough to break down. It usually takes two or three kids to get down.
"This season Allan has run 53 carries for 639 yards and 10 touchdowns. This is his first year starting on varsity and I can tell he's gotten a lot stronger over the past year. He's taking on the starting role and playing with a ton of confidence."
Currently, Ricks is hearing from local schools including Rutgers and Syracuse.
