NY WR to camp at Cuse, PSU

Mark Rubin is a New York receiver that has the complete package of size, speed and toughness. He could break all kinds of receiving records in his senior year.
Last year the 6-foot-4, 205-pound receiver from Buffalo (N.Y.) Amherst Central put up numbers that nearly every player in the nation would have envied. He caught 105 passes for 1,564 yards and 24 touchdowns. He wasn't slacking on the defensive end at all either, amassing 173 tackles, six interceptions and two sacks.

Given those numbers on both sides of the ball, he was one of America's most productive high school football players last year.
"I'm tough, competitive and fierce," said Rubin, who runs the 40-yard dash in 4.49 seconds. "I'm always willing to go over the middle of the field and catch the ball in traffic. I can block well, and I'm a reliable pass-catching threat at any point on the field. I can break a big play at any time and I'm a go-to guy in the red zone."
Rubin is a two-time selection for all-Western New York and all-state and has been an all-league selection for three years -- even in his freshman season.
"My favorite schools are Penn State, Syracuse, Boston College, Pittsburgh, Georgia Tech and Notre Dame," said Rubin. "Those schools plus Michigan State, Illinois, Oregon and Iowa have sent me information. I plan on camping at Penn State and Syracuse this summer."
Rubin has two offers thus far -- from Buffalo and Princeton. Given his numbers, size and speed, and his consistency, one might wonder why he doesn't have dozens of offers pouring in. Combine all that with his 3.7 GPA and 1,200 score on the SAT and that question becomes even more of a mystery. But he has struggled somewhat with injuries.
"I've had a fractured collarbone," said Rubin. "I've also had a partial tear of my meniscus. Everything will work itself out though, so maybe that's why schools have shyed away. I will eventually get plenty of offers and I'm confident of that."
