NY safety close to getting more offers

Syracuse (N.Y.) Christian Brothers safety Jovan Miller holds a lone offer from the Orangemen. Other schools continue to check out the 5-foot-11, 185-pounder, but no other schools have offered.
"Not a lot is going on for Jovan right now," Christian Brothers head coach Joe Casamento said. "He's mostly waiting it out until the season is over as he waits to see which other schools will offer.

"He's got an offer from Syracuse, but Connecticut, Rutgers and Pittsburgh are staying in contact. They all wanted to see more tape and we sent it out recently. I know they all are still evaluating him."
The problem for the three-star prospect is that he's been out with an injury recently.
"He has a deep thigh bruise that has kept him out a little while, but he'll be back pretty soon and he's almost all better."
Another player to keep an eye on from Christian Brother's is tight end Stephon Pride. The 6-foot-3, 212-pounder doesn't hold an offer, but is seeing interest.
"Syracuse has been up a lot and they are very interested," Casamento said. "There is no offer yet, but he gets calls and a lot of mail.
"In the last three games, Stephon has been phenomenal and that should get him more attention. Last game he had 150 yards receiving and two touchdowns. He's playing big for us and getting open and the ball's getting to him."
What's changed for Pride?
"I think he's really grown into his body this year," he said. "He's still 6-foot-3, 212-pounds, but wasn't ready a year ago. Now he's got more coordination and handling himself on the field better."
