NY QB talks Syracuse and more

Joe Licata is a pro-style quarterback prospect from Williamsville, NewYork. Licata, 6-3 and 205 pounds, plays for Williamsville South High School. Last season as a junior he threw for 2,460 yards (173 completions) and 36 touchdowns.
"I am smart with the football," Licata said. "I only had a few turnovers. I do not many mistakes. I am kind of like a point guard out there and just get the ball to our play makers. I am not a runner and know my strengths."

Licata declined to say who has offered him but there are a handful of schools he talked about. He recently went to a junior day at Syracuse.
"I was at Syracuse the week the before. It was fun. Actually, it was awesome because we saw a great basketball game. It's a real nice place. I like everything. They have good academics and a good coaching staff.
"I have also seen Buffalo and I want to see Boston College. I will also check out some Ivy League schools. I am still kind of in the process of figuring this out."
Does any one team stand out about the others at this time?
"No. I am pretty open with everyone. My family is the No.1 thing. They attend every game so my decision has to be accessible to them. Academics are huge and I also want the opportunity to compete for playing time."
Last season Licata took unofficial visits to see a Penn State and Notre Dame game.
