NV standout down to two

Las Vegas (Nev.) Cimarron-Memorial athlete Eddie Wide was originally planning to visit Washington State this past weekend but he decided to narrow his choices to the two schools he visited. His decision could come within days.
Wide, 5-10, 170 pounds is one of the more under-rated players in the West region. He was recently named the Gatorade state player of the year and has a very nice upside to him at both running back and defensive back.

Wide visited Washington in early December and then checked out Utah the following weekend. Those are his two finalists.
“I’m hoping to have my decision made in the next day or two,” Wide said. “Coach Whittingham (Utah head coach) is coming over tonight for a home visit and then Coach Whillingham (UW head coach) will be over on Tuesday night.
“Right now, my dad and I are in the process of weighing the pros and cons of each school. Washington is a great school with a great tradition. Utah is a great school and has been to six bowl games in a row.
“I probably felt more comfortable at Utah than Washington. Like I said, both are good schools and I should have a good idea what I’m doing after these home visits.”
