Nunes closing in on decision

With scholarship offers flying in from all over the country, it sounds like Upland (Calif.) quarterback Josh Nunes could be close to narrowing his list of choices and also making his college commitment.
Nunes, 6-4, 200 pounds released a statement this morning breaking down the time frame for when he'll be making his college decision.

"On the day after Memorial Day, Tuesday May 27th, I plan to announce my top five choices," Nunes said. "Shortly after that I plan to pick my college.
"I want to make my decision by that time for several reasons. First, I am looking forward to spending my last summer with my brother, who is also my backup, and, since this could possibly be the last time we play on the same team, help him with his quarterback training.
"I want to focus on my team and the upcoming season this summer without any distractions and be able to also enjoy some vacations with my family. And finally, I want to help my future school with recruiting, but also respectfully allow other schools who have offered me to continue their recruiting process with success.
"I have done a lot of homework on the schools that have offered me so far, and I will look closely at any school that offers me before Memorial weekend. I have been truly blessed to already have so many great choices to choose from.
"I have had a great time with the recruiting process and will be sad to see it end so soon. It's been fun to enjoy it with my family and friends. I feel very fortunate to be offered from the schools that have been recruiting me and the fact that they have not placed any pressure at all on me to make this decision has made the experience so enjoyable. It would be great to play for any of them!"
