Numbers Crunch: UA game is stacked

The Lone Star State will be well-represented in Florida but not necessarily by
Texas commits. The only prospect in the game from the state committed to the
Longhorns is three-star safety DeShon Elliott, who picked Texas in March.
Rivals.com rates him as the No. 56 prospect in the Texas state rankings. The
other Texas commit is four-star receiver John Burt from Tallahassee (Fla.)
Lincoln.
This number would have been three only days ago but four-star offensive lineman
Toby Weathersby decided to reopen his recruitment. There are plenty of in-state
prospects still uncommitted so the jury is still out but Texas has no
commitments among the top 20 players in the state and only four in the top 50.

The number of Texas A&M pledges in the Under Armour game.
Five-star Christian Kirk committed to Texas
A&M on Wednesday.
Texas A&M only has one more commit in the game than Texas but the future Aggies
are much higher profile names and four-star quarterback Kyler Murray and
five-star wide receiver Christian Kirk, who committed on Wednesday, are playing
in the same offense. That could be really exciting to for A&M fans to watch all
week.
The third Texas A&M commit is four-star defensive tackle Daylon Mack, rated
sixth at his position by Rivals.com. Both Mack and Murray are in the top eight
in the Texas state rankings. The Aggies are loading up with in-state prospects
and have six in the top 20 with a chance for more.

Number of five-stars committed to Florida State playing in the Under Armour
game.
Florida State has not lost a game since Nov. 24, 2012 and the Seminoles have
recruiting going at a high pace as well. More evidence will be seen at the Under
Armour game as three five-star commits will be in attendance (defensive end
Josh Sweat won't play because of injury).
But five-star running back Jacques Patrick will be looking to make a case for
No. 1 at his position (he's currently second behind Damien Harris, who will also
be at Under Armour) and five-star safety Derwin James could have an argument for
the top-rated overall player in the class.
If high four-star receiver George Campbell has a strong week he could become a
five-star as well. The Florida State commit sits at No. 35 nationally at this
point, only two spots away from five-star status.

The number of five-star commits at Florida and Miami combined.
As Florida State continues to dominate the state, Miami and Florida are trying
to find some footing. The proof lies in the Under Armour game roster.
The Hurricanes have no commits playing in the game. Florida has one, a
three-star offensive guard named Tyler Jordan from Jacksonville (Fla.) Bishop
Kenny. The Gators -- and to be fair we should give new coach Jim McElwain some
time -- don't even have any four-star commits yet in the class and they're tied
for No. 89 with Memphis in the team recruiting rankings.

That's the number of prospect who will play a different position in the Under
Armour game than what they played this season.
Terry Godwin played mostly quarterback this
season but will play receiver in Orlando.
Whether it's because of need, unforeseen injuries or because top recruits are
playing another position in high school out of necessity, all-star weeks always
allow for some prospects to move to another spot from where they played in their
senior years.
The Under Armour game will be no different since at least five players will be
moved around and it could get interesting. Topping the list is five-star Georgia
commit Terry Godwin, who mostly played quarterback this season but could shine
at receiver. Jamabo will move from running back to receiver as well.
Three others to watch as possible position movers are Brian Cole, a
Michigan
commit listed at cornerback who played running back and safety this season;
Tennessee pledge Micah Abernathy, a cornerback in the game who played running
back this season; and Auburn pledge Kerryon Johnson, a running back who will be
playing safety.
70
The percent of top 10 players by Rivals.com in the 2015 class playing in the
Under Armour game.
This is a sign that the roster is absolutely loaded with top-end talent and
there will be high-level competition all over the field.
Nos. 1, 2, 3 and 4, respectively, will be playing and that's quarterback
Josh Rosen, James, defensive end Byron Cowart and cornerback Iman Marshall.
The top-rated receiver Calvin Ridley and Godwin along with quarterback Blake
Barnett will be there.
To say that the Under Armour roster is loaded across the board is not hyperbole.

That's the number of five-stars by Rivals.com playing in the Under Armour game.
Five-star Daron Payne shined at the Rivals100
Five-Star Challenge Presented by Under Armour.
There are 33 five-star prospects ranked at this juncture which means competition
is going to be hot and heavy all over the place. In practice, Godwin will be
facing off against Marshall. Five-star offensive guard Maea Teuhema
could do battle in the trenches against five-star Daron Payne.
Even before the Under Armour game, the week of practice is crucial from an
evaluation standpoint and as Team Highlight and Team Armour face off during the
workouts, a lot will be told about which players are standing out the most.
There will be no lack of competition at basically every position.
10
The number of Alabama commits in the game including all four of its five-star
prospects.
The Crimson Tide -- stop the presses -- once again has the top-rated recruiting
class by Rivals.com and it's hard to argue against because coach Nick Saban
continues to deliver on the field as well. The Under Armour game is loaded with
Tide commits and others who are definitely considering them as well.
What should also keep Alabama fans pinned to the tube during the game is that
all four of its five-star prospects are playing as Barnett, Ridley, cornerback
Minkah Fitzpatrick and safety Deionte Thompson will all be
there.
Unfortunately, they're not all on the same team or that would really be
something special to see.
19
The number of players in the game who have de-committed from one school and
committed elsewhere or remains open in their recruitment
Rivals100 tight end Chris Clark has already
decommitted twice during the 2015 recruiting cycle.
Think your recruiting class is wrapped up with a nice little bow on it? Think
again because the last few weeks before signing day are always hectic with
rumors and legitimate news about de-commitments and the 2015 class is already
full force into that mode.
Nineteen players in the Under Armour game including Barnett, Harris, Campbell,
tight end Chris Clark (twice), Jonathan Ledbetter and others
have already gone through the process of a de-commitment. Some have pledged
elsewhere. Some have reopened their recruitments and are looking for the right
place.
One way or another only one thing is certain this time of year: Very little is
guaranteed.
