Noyer visits Arizona State

The first scholarship offer arrived for Sam Noyer not long ago and the three-star quarterback has hit the road to build relationships with other potential suitors.
The 6-foot-3, 193-pound prospect from Beaverton, Ore., was a top performer at the inaugural Rivals Quarterback Challenge Presented by Under Armour last month in Los Angeles and landed an offer from Eastern Washington shortly thereafter. He also raised some eyebrows at the Las Vegas Pylon 7v7 national tournament and then visited Oregon State.

Earlier this week, Noyer made his latest stop at Arizona State.
"ASU was awesome," Noyer said. "The coaches seemed really interested. It was a great visit."
Noyer met offensive coordinator Mike Norvell and the two spent a lot of time chatting one-on-one about various topics. The No. 4-rated prospect in Oregon said he enjoyed walking around campus and touring the football facilities.
"Coach Norvell and I just talked about where I am and we planned a time for him to come see me throw in person," Noyer said. "I loved the environment and felt comfortable there. An offer from ASU would be amazing. I'm really excited for coach Norvell to come watch me throw in the spring."
"They told me they want a competitor to come in and compete for that starting spot right off the bat."
The Sun Devils signed two quarterbacks -- Bryce Perkins and Brady White -- in the 2015 class.
Noyer also has trips scheduled for Boise State, Eastern Washington, Oregon, Oregon State and Washington State for next month.
"Boise State is next for me and I'm looking forward to meeting their staff," Noyer said. "Hopefully I can get a good feel for Boise State football."
Noyer passed for 2,697 yards and 19 touchdowns as a junior last year, completing about 61 percent of his attempts.
