NOVA lineman starting to get looks

College interest is picking up for Fairfax (Va.) Woodson offensive lineman Patrick Halloran. The 6-foot-4, 250-pounder is a bit undersized, but is a player to watch this year.
"I did well last season, I earned first team all-district defensive tackle and honorable mention offensive line," he said. "I took a step forward as a player, learning the new offense and picking up a leadership role.

"The one thing I stress all the time is that I'm a blue collar guy. I'll work until I get the job done. When I get on the field, I'll kick their ass."
Halloran has a 4.1 GPA.
Thus, the lineman is hearing from schools all across the spectrum.
"Stanford has come to the school, Maryland has come by," he said. "I'm getting interest from the Ivy League and I've talked to Coach Poindexter on the phone from Virginia."
Halloran noted plans to head to Old Dominion's junior day coming up as well as a potential trip to Stanford this summer.
Does he like anyone?
"Of course, Stanford is a dream school," he said. "I am interested in the Ivy Leagues and then Old Dominion is good too. It's a smaller school, but they get it done."
