Gee Scott Jr. is one of the top 2020 receivers in the West, if not nationally, and last weekend he took an unofficial visit to Notre Dame.

The Sammamish (Wash.) Eastside Catholic standout definitely had a good time and was impressed by everything the Irish had to offer.

It’s incredibly early in his recruitment but Notre Dame is top of mind now.

“This was my first visit to a private school, so it was a different look,” Scott said.

“I loved the atmosphere, the fans, the students and the alumni. A town full of great people that make me feel "at home." And last, but not least, it's hard to turn down some great Notre Dame football.”

During Scott’s time in South Bend, the 2020 receiver had a chance to talk with the coaching staff to start building that relationship.

It also went well, another memorable moment during his weekend trip.

“They were very interested in my life after college telling me that grades are important, pushing me to be a better man,” Scott said.

So far, the 6-foot-4, 190-pound receiver has landed offers from Colorado, Notre Dame, Oregon, UCLA and Utah. He said Washington has been showing the most new interest.

In five games this season, Scott has caught 22 passes for 411 yards and five touchdowns.
