Notre Dame offers red hot TE

The torrid pace of offers since the Rivals.com junior day continues for Joseph Fauria (6-7, 247, 4.75) from Encino (Calif.) Crespi. At that time Fauria's lone scholie was from Ole Miss since then huge offers have been coming from coast-to-coast.
LSU followed Ole Miss as the second team to offer then in quick succession UCLA, Colorado, Nebraska, and Oregon

Yesterday North Carolina offered the talented tight end and just this morning (April 10th) Notre Dame.
"This morning I was pleasantly woke up by a text from Coach Brian Polian and Coach Charlie Weis," Fauria said. "I called Coach Polian and I talked to him for while then he put me on with Coach Weis.
"Coach Weis asked me about how my trip to Boston went and how my conversation with my uncle (former Patriot tight end Christian Fauria) about recruiting went and I told him that we had a really good conversation. The one main point that came out is I'm very interested in Notre Dame then Coach Weis offered me a scholarship.
"I'm going to see if I can take a couple unofficial trips to colleges this spring and if I do, Notre Dame will definitely be one of them.
"Right now I'm keeping my options open," Fauria said. "At this point, to be fair, I'm planning on taking all five official visits before I make my mind up."
Fauria is busy working very hard getting in shape for his senior season and he's also planning on taking in a couple camps in the near future.
"I'm planning on attending the NIKE Camp in Los Angeles this Sunday and then I plan to attend the B2G (Beyond 2000 Elite Camp) Camp in June," Fauria said. "I'm not sure what other camps I'll attend."
The athletic Fauria earned first-team all-league in both football and basketball as a junior.
From his tight end spot, Fauria caught 22 passes for 329 yards and four touchdowns.
