Notre Dame in the mix for Shugarts

This evening Klein, Texas offensive tackle and pre-evaluation Rivals100 prospect J.B. Shugarts was ready to make the call.
Shugarts, who has over 30 offers from programs across the country, dialed Notre Dame's Charlie Weis.

"Coach Weis was great," Shugarts said. "They offered me and we talked football and stuff. He told me that my former teammate Chris Stewart changed to nose guard from offensive line.
"He doesn't seem like this intimidating guy. He seems really approachable and easy to talk to."
While Notre Dame seems late to the party, Shugarts seems very interested in the Golden Domers.
"I want to learn more about the coaches, but it's Notre Dame," Shugarts said. "They are one of the most elite programs in the country with a great tradition. I've liked them since I was a kid."
It's been a busy month for Shugarts, who attended Oklahoma's spring game last weekend. He was offered by Notre Dame and Florida State this week, and plans on going to Texas A&M's spring game this weekend.
"I think I'm going to Ohio State the following weekend," he said. "I'm also supposed to talk with USC's Ken Norton Jr., this week. I'm hoping they will offer."
