Notre Dame extends scholarship offer

Jermaine Lemons, a Rivals.com three-star prospect, from Tampa (Fla.) Jefferson, got the scholarship offer that he was hoping for, and the now course of his recruitment will most certainly change.

“Notre Dame just called and offered Jermaine a full-ride for rush-end,” Jefferson assistant coach Lane McLaughlin said. “I have a feeling that’s where Jermaine will end up. He’s also very high on Tulane.”

This weekend Lemons, who had 11 sacks in the playoffs, will visit Tulane. Next weekend (1/17) the Tampa Bay native will visit Notre Dame. There’s also a possibility that he might still visit Michigan State.

Lemons had a total of 74 tackles, 15 tackles for a loss and eight quarterback sacks in 13 regular season games.
