Nothing junior about Hester

Don’t let the stats fool you when it comes to Wellington, Fla., star Jessie Hester Jr. The 6-foot, 170-pound Hester only played in four and a half games as junior because of an injury, but that’s not going to stop him from being recruited by all of the major national players.
In fact, the race to land the super-star receiver has already begun.

“I don’t have any official offers yet,” Hester said. “But I’m getting a lot of stuff from Florida State and Miami. I would list my top teams at Florida State, Miami, Iowa, N.C. State, Boston College and Ole Miss.”
Hester said he grew up watching Florida State, Miami, Iowa and N.C. State, so it’s no surprise that they’re on his early list. However, it might be tough to beat out FSU because his father, Jesse Hester Sr., was a star for FSU from 1981-1984 and was drafted in the first round by the Raiders.
“My dad is my sports hero,” Hester said. “I try to be quick, smooth and silent but deadly just like him.”
When it comes time to make a decision, Hester said a few things will stand out.
“The location is at the top of my list,” he said. “The people and weather also will be factors.”
