Newport News (Va.) Heritage superstar running back Michael Johnson doesn’t get to carry the ball enough. He averages about 15 carries per game, which is still good enough for nearly 200 yards of total offense. This past Friday he did even less work.
“I had six carries for 110 yards and two touchdowns,” said the 5-foot-10, 180-pounder. “I had touchdown runs of 42 yards and 13 yards. I also had two catches for 30 yards. I’m still nursing an injured ankle so I didn’t play as much.”
Johnson has one official visit set for Virginia on January 18th with best friend Marcus Vick, the top dual-threat quarterback in the country.

“It’s almost certain that me and Marcus are going to take the same visits and go to the same school,” he said. “The other four we’re looking at right now are Miami, Tennessee, Florida State and Notre Dame. The last two change a lot.”
Johnson will set up the rest of his visits soon.
