Norton getting soft on his commitment

Cedar Hill, Texas athlete Jerrell Norton was an early diamond in the rough for many of the region's top college programs but as the offers began to fly, it was clear that the two-star Norton was a wanted man. However, late in the summer months he ended it with a pledge to Tulsa.
On the other hand, the 6-foot, 180-pound Norton may not be done with his recruitment and visits. In fact, Norton seems very clear that he will be tripping to some other programs before making his final decision.

"Once I committed, a lot of stuff from other schools stopped coming," Norton said. "That's why I wish I would have waited. TCU is looking very interesting. I also like Texas A&M, SMU, Kansas of course because of coach (Tim) Beck, and some others."
"I would say I'm a soft commitment right now, but I am still committed to Tulsa."
Norton is now saying that he will take all five of his allocated official visits which means four other destinations, other than Tulsa, will get trips. He's considering the above mentioned schools along with UCLA.
He has made it clear to the coaches at Tulsa that he is still looking very hard at the school he picked.
"It's like I told coach (Todd) Graham, I love Tulsa and they have a few players from my high school that are up there. Again, I have to make the decision based on my feelings and where I really want to go. I think Tulsa is a great place for me and not too far from home."
"It's a great place to be, I'm just not sold yet completely."
