Northwestern, Stanford evaluating Logan

Abner Logan has received verbal offers from Florida International and UMass and while he's giving both schools serious consideration he's also hoping to pick up his first offer from a BCS conference school as soon as possible.
The 6-foot-1, 212-pound outside linebacker from Brookline (Mass.) Dexter recently attended UConn's spring game and his time with the Huskies has to be considered a success, both for Logan and UConn.

"It was nice," Logan recalled. "I liked the facilities. They're top notch. The campus is beautiful. The day before (the spring game) I had just finished my visit there. It was just a tour of the campus and everything.
"I like the system they have," he continued. "Overall it was a good trip. There wasn't anything negative about it. I'm going to go to a one-day camp with them. Coach Pasqualoni said if I attend their one-day camp then they can finalize whether they're going to offer or not."
UConn and Syracuse are actually recruiting Logan as a running back, though he said that will not be a factor in his decision.
Two other schools are seriously interested and taking a hard look at Logan, though they haven't offered yet.
"Northwestern and Stanford are showing interest," Logan said.
"Northwestern's actually going to come down May 3 and I believe I'm going to a camp out at Stanford to meet with them. Most of the coaches have said they want to see me at one-day camps to see how I play against competition outside the state.
"Soon I plan to visit Rutgers and then I'll worry about everything else."
