Northwestern leads for OT Lane

Offensive tackle Jason Lane out of Hermitage (Pa.) Kennedy Catholic is getting a lot of interest from schools in the East and Midwest. The 6-foot-4, 250-pounder has one school that is standing out above the rest.
"I'm favoring Northwestern a lot," he said. "I went up there for a visit a few weeks back and liked how it was right on the lake. The whole school is real nice and the coaching staff is great. Coach Cushing is my recruiter and I got to talk to him about how things are going there and such. I also was very impressed with their downtown area around the school and the fact they have a 100% graduation rate."

Lane continues to receive interest from other schools as well including Iowa, Wisconsin, Boston College, Virginia, Louisville, Akron, Syracuse and Maryland.
Last season the Keystone State prospect was named third team all-state and first team all-conference.
"On offense I think I'm a real good blocker particularly on run blocking since I've done that a lot more as a tight end," he said. "I am also a very aggressive player that goes hard every play."
This spring Lane plans to take in the Adidas Combine. He is looking at heading to Iowa and Northwestern for summer camps.
