North Texas gets Scoggins commitment

Euless (Texas) Trinity's Jordan Scoggins was being looked at originally as a tight end or H-back in most offenses, but when he made his commitment this past week, he was ready to suit up on the defensive line.
The 6-foot-2, 257-pound Scoggins made a commitment to North Texas this past week and says that the potential in the program with coach Todd Dodge being there had a lot to do with his decision.

"I just feel that coach Dodge is going to turn things around," Scoggins said. "We're going to be winning a lot of games there. This is it for me, I'm not taking any more visits.
"I'm going to UNT."
Scoggins says that his official visit on Jan. 12 was also something that opened his eyes about the Mean Green.
"The facilities are really nice there, way better than I expected," Scoggins said. "My teammate Marcus King is going there along with some other guys I knew from Colleyville and Southlake. Plus, it's really close to home."
Scoggins is slated to play defensive tackle at UNT.
