Two recruiting season ago, Live Oak (Fla.) Suwannee sent one player to each of the big-three schools. Lyn Gross, a running back, would like to join one of his former teammates. The 6-foot and 195 pound tailback is getting a lot of attention, but he has no offers on the table yet.
“I’m friends with all three so it doesn’t matter that much,” Gross said. “I’m all even among Miami, Florida State, Florida, Georgia, and Georgia Tech. Miami, Florida State and Florida all have been by my school. Coach Allen of Florida State has called me on the phone. He asked me a bunch of questions and told me that they were going to recruit me.”
Gross, who grew up a Florida State fan, played in only 8 games as a junior due to an ankle injury. He finished the season with 881 yards rushing and 11 touchdowns. He also caught 14 passes for 400 yards.

Gross plans on attending summer football camps at Florida State and Auburn.
“Lyn’s an outstanding runner who has the ability to make the first tackler miss. He’s also a power runner that can change a game in a moment. He catches the ball well. He catches the ball with his hands instead of his body. Lyn makes things happen.”
