North Carolina WR Names Top Three

High Point (N.C.) Ragsdale wide receiver Emmanuel Byers has his first official visit scheduled and a solid top three. So is there a leader?
"Right now my top three are Virginia, Tennessee and Wake Forest," said the 5-foot-10, 170-pound wideout. "The only official visit I have scheduled right now is with Virginia for Jan. 17. I have offers from every team in the ACC except for Florida State and Maryland. Tennessee hasn't offered yet, but I think they will soon. They want me to take an official visit first."

So who leads?
"I don't really have a leader, but of the three head coaches at my favorite schools, Al Groh is a down-to-earth with me and a straight-up good guy. He talks to me like I'm a regular person and not just a football player so I really like him a lot."
Byers knows what he wants in a school.
"Well, I think the most important thing is the relationship between me and coaches. All three schools that I like, all have great coaches. I talk to all of the head coaches and they all seem like pretty good guys as well.
I'd like to play early and make sure that I make the right decision on where I'm going. I really want to pursue a good relationship between me and the coaches, especially for the next four years. All of the facilities of the schools are going to be good. I mean, it's the people that make it better."
Byers has three touchdowns so far this season and expects to set up his official visits with Wake Forest and Tennessee soon. He was considering Virginia Tech, but they've dropped off his list.
