North Carolina options to Nebraska

Nebraska is always looking for a few good option quarterbacks. And they have landed one of the better dual-threat quarterbacks in the nation.
Stony Point (N.C.) Newton-Conover quarterback Curt Dukes finally called the Nebraska coaches late last night to inform them that he is a Husker. He then formally announced his decision earlier today.

Dukes, who is 6-foot-2, 210-pounds and has a consistent 4.59-second time in the 40-yard dash, picked the Huskers over Penn State and a host of others like Air Force, Duke and Wake Forest.
''I have been thinking about it for months now, but overall it was the style of the offense that Nebraska runs, the option and I like throwing the ball a lot, but…' Dukes said.
''I know at Penn State they are going to run some option, but it is not the type of offense that Nebraska runs.''
Dukes is a great athlete with a 405-pound bench-press and a 33-inch vertical leap. He also has a 4.55 grade-point average and an 1130 on the SAT.
Thursday was a big day for quarterback commitments in the Big 12. Texas A&M also landed its quarterback of the future in dual-threat quarterback Reggie McNeal, but Dukes' pledge is huge for Nebraska and its fans.
