North Carolina lands commitment from three-star LB Crews Law

As Crews Law went into this past weekend's official visit with North Carolina, it was a dead-heat between Vanderbilt and the Tar Heels. However, during his latest trip to Chapel Hill, everything felt right for the three-star linebacker which led to a commitment on Sunday during his visit with head coach Mack Brown.

The 6-foot-2, 215-pound thumper goes in-depth on his official visit, commitment, and why the future looks bright for the Tar Heels below.

- On his commitment and when he knew North Carolina was the right fit:

"Going into the weekend. It was UNC and Vandy leaning together, But, UNC checked every box for me. I went up there trying to get all my questions answered and making sure I saw everything. It has everything I'm looking for in a college. I was going into the last day and my plan was to come back home, think and pray on it first. But, decided to walk in Coach Brown's office on Sunday and commit."

- On the coaches reactions upon committing:

"Coach Brown just got up and gave us both hugs. Coach (Tommy) Thigpen was in there as well and he jumped up out of his chair, he was pumped. It was a good celebration."

- On his relationship with the staff:

"I've been talking to Tommy Thigpen the most, their linebackers coach. We talk most days. Coach Brown texts me and checks in every two weeks. Coach (Gene) Chizik, I talk to him a few times a month."

- On what Thigpen likes about his skillset:

"He likes the way I move. He like my speed burst. He likes my instincts. He thinks I have really good football IQ. He likes the way I hit people and play the game violently and I'm a competitor."

- On what stood out from his official opposed to previous visits:

"Hanging out with the team. I got to really be around those guys and see how well they got along. All those guys there believe winning nine games is not good enough. They are not satisfied with that and they are going to keep winning and they are going to win more. I don't want to go somewhere that doesn't believe they can't win and I'm a competitor and I really want to win."
