THE LATEST: Fishers (Ind.) Hamilton Southeastern junior defensive end Madison Norris had an incredible junior season. The talented defender ended up racking up a tackle total that was good for second overall in the state of Indiana and came home with all-state honors. There are seven offers on the table and two more appear to be in the works.

IN HIS WORDS: "The season was pretty good, but shorter than I expected. We ended up going 6-4. I was second in the state in tackles as a defensive lineman with 67 tackles. I also had 10 tackles for loss, two sacks, one caused fumble and one fumble recovery for a touchdown. I won the award for most valuable lineman for my high school and made Indiana 6A first team all-state.

"Indiana, Louisville, Pitt, North Carolina State, Central Michigan, Toledo and Bowling Green have all offered. Also it is my understanding that Iowa State and Michigan State are planning to offer, but haven't yet. I'm going to visit Iowa State in January when the dead period ends. I'm also going to visit Michigan State and Indiana for basketball games. Then I'm going to about three to four showcases. Visits are going to be slow in the spring because I'm going to be in track season.

"I'm working on my weight this offseason. I'm trying to come in at least 215-pounds or more. I also want to improve on my strength and explosiveness."

RIVALS' REACTION: Norris was a force from his defensive end position. He has a tremendous get off on the football. Norris shows that he's not one-dimensional as a defender by being equally effective against the run as he is against the pass. The 6-foot-5 frame will allow for Norris to stack on weight like he wants to and with his athleticism he will have more Power Five teams showing interest and offering as he does.
