Norman will be a back to watch for 2009

The 2007 season for Georgia's Chamblee High School was one to remember and it was also a season that put 2009 running back prospect Warren Norman on the recruiting map. The 5-foot-9 speedster rushed for over 1,500 yards at almost 10 yards per carry in leading his team to the Class 3A semifinals.
While the recruiting process has yet to yield an offer to the back, it is just a matter of time before the talented junior picks up his first of many. With a busy Spring ahead, there will be many opportunities to collect.

"I've been to Georgia Tech junior day and I've got a couple coming in March," Norman said. "I'm going to Alabama and Auburn in March and Louisville in April. I've got the Nike Combine coming up on March 1 and I'm going to the Nike Training Camp in Alabama."
Norman's lofty expectations for his performances in the camp demonstrate how unique his athleticism is.
"I actually want to get to a 4.3 (in the 40) sometime soon," he said. "I'm in the low 4.4s now. Right now I'm doing track and off days I'm going into the weight room."
Though Norman is wide open in his recruitment, three schools that he really hopes to hear from are Tennessee, Florida State and Miami.
"I'm definitely getting interest from Tennessee," he said. "I always grew up kind of a Miami fan. I've always liked them and liked how they have all of those NFL players."
Despite moving up in classifications from 3A to 4A next season, Norman is confident in the team he has coming back with him.
"We came up a little short at the [Georgia] Dome," he said. "I definitely think we can get back. We move up to 4A but I think we can get back to the Dome."
